Greenwood Roche, led by Partner Steve Woodfield, acted for Norak Properties Limited, an industrial property investor investor, as purchaser and landlord in the development by Cardinal Logistics Limited of New Zealand’s first fully automated third‑party logistics facility in Drury, Auckland.
The project represents a significant milestone for the industrial property sector and is expected to be the largest facility of its type in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Greenwood Roche team advised on a comprehensive suite of property and development arrangements, including the agreement for sale and purchase, the agreement to develop and lease, and multiple variations required to accommodate evolving design and development iterations as the project advanced. The matter required specialist property, commercial, and construction expertise to address the scale, complexity, and innovation involved.
